Every bit of software you run has a monthly cost attached, and dealer software is no different. It is one of those line items that sits there quietly, gets paid without much thought, and occasionally gets looked at properly when someone is going through the accounts.
The Vehiso Referral Programme offers a fairly direct way of dealing with that line: introduce enough dealers and your own bill stops being a cost.
This post is just the arithmetic. No hype, no case studies, no "one dealer made £4,000". Numbers you can check against your own account.
The rule
You earn 10% of each referred dealer's plan payments, excluding tax, for their first six months.
That is the whole formula. What follows is that one sum applied to real plan prices.
What one referral is worth
Vehiso's paid plans and what a referral on each is worth to you:
| Their plan | Their monthly bill | You earn per month | You earn over six months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | £49 | £4.90 | £29.40 |
| Growth | £79 | £7.90 | £47.40 |
| Business | £149 | £14.90 | £89.40 |
| Ultra | £199 | £19.90 | £119.40 |
A referred dealer on the free plan earns you nothing, because there is nothing to take a share of. Earning starts at their first paid bill.
How many it takes to cover your own bill
Here is the part worth pinning up. Because the rate is a flat ten per cent, ten referred dealers on the same plan as you covers your bill completely, whatever plan you are on. That is not a coincidence, it is what ten per cent means.
It gets more interesting when the dealers you refer are on different plans to you:
| Your plan | Your bill | Starter referrals needed | Growth referrals needed | Business referrals needed | Ultra referrals needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | £49 | 10 | 7 | 4 | 3 |
| Growth | £79 | 17 | 10 | 6 | 4 |
| Business | £149 | 31 | 19 | 10 | 8 |
| Ultra | £199 | 41 | 26 | 14 | 10 |
Read that as "how many active referrals it takes for the monthly earnings to cover the monthly bill". A Starter dealer who introduces three Ultra dealers is running Vehiso for free. A Business dealer needs eight.
Two things to hold in your head when you read those numbers.
They have to be paying at the same time. Each referral earns for six months, not for ever, so covering your bill means having that many referrals inside their window at once. Three referrals a month, sustained, gets a Starter dealer there comfortably. Three referrals ever does not.
Overshooting is fine. If your earnings come to more than your bill in a given month, the balance does not evaporate. It stays available, and you can take it as wallet credit or cash instead.
A realistic version
Forget covering the bill entirely for a moment, because the more common outcome is smaller and still worth having.
Say you mention Vehiso to four dealers over a year and two of them sign up and stay. One goes on Starter, one on Growth.
That is £4.90 plus £7.90, so £12.80 a month, for six months each. Call it £77 across the year, from two conversations you were having anyway.
If you are on Starter at £49, that is a month and a half of your bill covered for no work beyond answering a question honestly. It is not going to change your year, but it is more than the nothing you got for the same conversation last year.
Where the money goes
By default, nothing. You do not have to do anything with it.
Left alone, available referral earnings come off your next Vehiso invoice automatically. No minimum, no button, no setting up. If your invoice is £79 and you have £47 available, you pay £32.
If you would rather have it in a more useful form, there are two other routes. Wallet credit spends on the pay-as-you-go tools: AI descriptions and image tools, Photo Studio, valuations, SMS. Or you can withdraw it to your bank once you have more than £25 sitting there.
Each amount waits thirty days after it is earned before it becomes available, which covers the possibility of the referred dealer being refunded.
The limits, stated plainly
Twenty referred dealers a month, per referrer. Well above what almost anyone reaches, and it counts dealers rather than payments, so a referral that lands keeps earning for its full six months.
No lifetime cap. Past two hundred paying referrals we will start a conversation about a proper partner arrangement, since at that volume you are effectively reselling and there is a better arrangement available. Your existing referrals keep paying throughout.
Dealers only, not agency accounts.
Current plan prices are on the pricing page, and the full rules are in the Referral Programme Terms. The figures in the tables above are based on our GBP plan prices at the time of writing, so check the pricing page if you are reading this a while after publication.
