How it works

One checkout, from car page to deposit

A buyer who is ready to go ahead should not have to phone, email and wait for a reply. From the car page they work through one checkout, step by step, and finish by paying a deposit to secure the car.

  • Every step uses your own prices, products and settings
  • The car is reserved as soon as the deposit is paid
  • Buyers can go ahead at any time of day, even when you are closed

You set the rules

Switch it on and set your options

Buy online is switched on in Settings > Payments. That is also where you decide how delivery, handover dates and deposits work for your business.

Your payment provider

Deposits are taken through your own card payment provider: Stripe, PayPal, Square or Blink.

Delivery radius and charge

Offer collection from the dealership, and home delivery within a radius you set in miles, for a delivery charge you choose.

Minimum lead time

Set how much notice you need, so buyers can only pick a handover date that gives you time to prepare the car.

Your extras

Offer your own products and extras in the checkout, at your prices.

Every website template

Buy online works on every Vehiso website template, so there is nothing to redesign.

The balance, your way

You arrange the balance with the buyer before handover, by pay link or bank transfer.

Frequently asked questions

What can a buyer do in the buy online checkout?

From the car page, they choose cash or finance, enter a part-exchange, add your extras, choose collection or home delivery, pick a handover date and pay a deposit to secure the car. The car is reserved as soon as the deposit is paid.

Does the buyer pay the full price online?

No. The buyer pays a deposit online to secure the car. You arrange the balance with them before handover, by pay link or bank transfer.

How does a part-exchange work in the checkout?

The buyer enters their part-exchange as part of the order. You confirm its value once you have seen the car, and the part-exchange is noted on the order for your team.

How is finance quoted?

A buyer who chooses finance is quoted with the finance calculator on your website, and the quote is noted on the order in Vehiso.

Can I offer home delivery?

Yes. You set a delivery radius in miles and a delivery charge, and buyers choose home delivery or collection from your dealership. You also set a minimum lead time, so every handover date leaves you time to prepare the car.

What about the 14-day right to cancel?

The order confirmation email includes the statutory 14-day right-to-cancel information for distance sales under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Vehiso tracks when each buyer's cancellation window ends, restarting it from the actual handover date.

Which payment providers can take the deposit?

Deposits go through your own card payment provider: Stripe, PayPal, Square or Blink.

How do I switch it on, and what does it cost?

Switch it on and set your options in Settings > Payments. Buy online works on every Vehiso website template and is included in every paid plan.
