Here is a scene every dealer knows. A car comes in on part exchange, you run a check on it, you skim the report, you buy the car. Three weeks later it is sold, and the buyer's partner rings up asking a pointed question about the car's history. You know you checked it. You just cannot find the report. It is a PDF in your Downloads folder with a filename like report_20260903_final(2).pdf, or it is in the check provider's portal behind a login the sales manager set up and nobody else has.
The work was done. It simply was not attached to anything.
Vehiso now integrates with MotorCheck, and that is the gap it closes. Connect the MotorCheck trade account you already hold, run a check from the car's own screen, and the report is stored, readable on screen, filed against that vehicle and downloadable as a PDF for as long as you need it.
What you can run
MotorCheck offer three report products, and you choose one each time you run a check:
History report. The trade version of MotorCheck's provenance report, for the history behind a car before you put money into it.
Specification report. What the car actually is, worked out from the registration: make, body type, colour, fuel, engine size and VIN.
Condition alert report. MotorCheck's condition alert product, for what you want to know before a car joins the forecourt.
Each is a separate MotorCheck product on a separate charge, so you pick the right one for the job rather than paying for the lot every time. Which of the three you can run depends on the products enabled on your own MotorCheck account. For exactly what each report covers, MotorCheck are the people to ask. Our job is what happens to the result.
Your account, your rates
This is the part worth being precise about, because it is easy to read it the wrong way round.
MotorCheck bills every check, to your own trade account, at the rates you negotiated with them. Vehiso does not resell checks and adds no margin. We charge nothing per check.
The integration itself comes with every paid Vehiso plan, and there is no per-check fee from us on any of them. It is not available on the free plan, so if that is where you are, a paid plan or the seven-day trial is the way in.
What you do need is a MotorCheck trade account with API access. If you already have one, connecting it takes a couple of minutes. If you do not, you will need to open one with MotorCheck first.
Where the report ends up
Run a check from the Tools screen with a registration, or start from a car in your stock and skip typing the registration entirely.
The report comes back on screen, laid out to be read rather than squinted at. Where the registration matches one vehicle in your stock, the report files itself against that car and appears on its Vehicle Checks tab, next to the photos, the pricing and the paperwork. If two records share the same registration, Vehiso asks you which one it belongs to and files it with one click.
From then on, anyone in the dealership who opens that car can see the check was run and download the PDF. Not just the person who ran it.
And the reports outlive the car. Delete the vehicle and the checks you paid for stay downloadable. Disconnect MotorCheck and they stay too. You paid for that information, so it does not leave when the car does.
Setting it up
Four steps, in this order:
- Ask MotorCheck for the API credentials on your trade account.
- In Vehiso, go to Administration, then Stock Feeds and Integrations, and enter them on the MotorCheck card. An administrator does this once for the whole dealership, and the credentials are stored encrypted.
- Run a check, either from Tools or from a car in stock.
- Read it, file it, download it whenever it is needed.
We have written the setup up properly in how to connect your MotorCheck trade account to Vehiso, including what to do when a check does not return what you expected.
A few honest limits
It is UK only. MotorCheck also operate in Ireland, but the Irish service does not carry these three report products, so an Irish dealership would need a UK trade account to use the integration.
It is also entirely back office. Nothing is published to your dealership website and no badge appears on a listing. This is tooling for the people buying and preparing cars, not a trust marker for buyers.
