Part exchange appraisals you can price from
Appraise a part exchange in the Vehiso DMS by clicking where the damage is on a vehicle diagram. Each mark gets a numbered pin, the type of damage, how bad it is, a note, a repair estimate and its own photos, and the estimates are added up for you.
Open it from the part exchange on an enquiry, or from Actions on your Part Exchanges list.
How it works
Three steps from the part exchange to a full record of its condition in Vehiso.
Open Appraise
Choose Appraise on the part exchange in an enquiry, or under Actions in Part Exchanges.
Click where the damage is
Click the part of the vehicle where there is damage and a numbered pin marks the spot. Add as many as you need.
Describe each mark
Choose the type of damage and how bad it is, then add a note, a repair estimate and close-up photos.
What each mark records
Enough detail that whoever prices the vehicle sees what the appraiser saw.
Ten types of damage
Scratch, scuff, dent, chip, crack, rust, curbed, worn, missing or other, so every mark is described the same way.
Minor, moderate or major
Say how bad each mark is, so a deep dent and a light scuff are never priced the same.
Estimates added up
Put a repair estimate on any mark and the appraisal adds them up, so you know what the vehicle needs before you make an offer.
Photos on each mark
Attach close-ups to the damage they show. They stay with the appraisal and are not added to the stock photos when the vehicle goes into stock.
Interior and other damage
Use Interior or Other for damage that is not on the outside of the vehicle.
On the enquiry
The appraisal belongs to the part exchange, so you reach it from the enquiry it arrived on and from your Part Exchanges list.
Make an offer from the facts
The person who prices a part exchange has often never seen it. The appraisal is what they work from.
- Every mark has its place on the diagram, so nobody has to guess where "a scratch on the side" is
- The repair estimates are added up, so the cost of putting the vehicle right is in front of you when you price it
- Staff who manage enquiries can appraise too, not only whoever looks after part exchanges
- Damage photos stay out of your stock photos, so your advert only shows the photos you choose
Where to find it
Appraise sits on the part exchange in each enquiry, and under Actions on the Part Exchanges list, in the Vehiso DMS.
