Vehicle preparation and reconditioning, on one board
See every vehicle between purchase and the forecourt on the Preparation board in the Vehiso DMS (Dealer Management System). Each one is a card in its current stage, with who is on it, its checklist, how long it has been waiting and what its prep has cost so far. Drag a card to move it on.
The Preparation board is part of the Vehiso DMS and included in every plan.

Ready to sell
Everything a vehicle needs before it goes on sale
Preparation sits in the Vehiso DMS next to your inventory, so the board always matches what you actually own.
A board for every stage
Each stage is a column and each vehicle in preparation is a card. Drag a card to the next stage when the work is done.
Your stages, your order
Name the stages the way your team works, put them in order and give any stage a day limit. One stage is the forecourt, where a vehicle is ready to sell.
A checklist on every card
Each card gets a checklist copied from a template. A default preparation checklist is ready to use, and you can edit your templates under Workshop.
Someone on every vehicle
Assign a team member to each card, then filter the board by assignee to see exactly what is on someone's plate.
Days, not guesses
Every card shows its days in the current stage and its days in preparation overall, and a stage history shows how long it spent in each stage.
Prep cost as you go
Add a prep cost from the card and see the total so far. It is the vehicle's reconditioning cost, already counted in its margin.
Know where the time goes
A vehicle sitting in preparation is a vehicle you cannot sell. The board summary shows how quickly your inventory really gets to the forecourt.
- Vehicles over their stage's day limit are flagged on the board, so nothing waits unnoticed
- See the average days to forecourt and how many vehicles were made ready this month
- Average days per stage this month shows which stage holds things up
- Average prep cost this month shows what reconditioning is really costing you

Set it up once, let the rules do the rest
Two optional rules in the Vehiso DMS keep the board up to date without anyone having to remember.
Set your stages
Name your stages, put them in order, add a day limit where you want one and choose which stage is the forecourt.
Start cards automatically
Turn on the rule and every vehicle you add in the DMS or take in on trade-in gets a prep card. Inventory that arrives from a feed or an import is left alone.
Move to the forecourt when it is done
Turn on the second rule and a vehicle moves to the forecourt by itself once the required lines on its checklist are ticked.
Internal job cards in the workshop add their parts and labour to the vehicle's prep cost too. The Preparation board is included in every Vehiso plan.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Preparation board?
It is a board in the Vehiso DMS showing every vehicle between purchase and the forecourt, grouped by stage. Each vehicle is a card you drag from one stage to the next, with its assignee, checklist, days in stage and prep cost on it.
Can I change the preparation stages?
Yes. You choose the name and order of every stage and can give any stage an optional day limit. One stage is the forecourt, where a vehicle is ready to sell. Vehicles that stay in a stage longer than its limit are flagged.
How is the prep cost worked out?
The prep cost is the vehicle's reconditioning costs, which are already counted in its margin, so there is no second set of figures to keep. You can add a prep cost straight from the card, and internal job cards in the workshop add their parts and labour to it too.
Does every vehicle get a prep card automatically?
Only if you want it to. With the rule turned on, every vehicle you add in the DMS or take in on trade-in gets a prep card. Inventory that arrives from a feed or an import is left alone.
What happens when a vehicle is ready or sold?
A vehicle is ready when it reaches the forecourt stage. You can drag it there, or turn on the rule that moves it automatically once its required checklist lines are ticked. Finished cards stay in the forecourt column for a while, and sold vehicles drop off the board.
Is vehicle preparation included in my plan?
Yes. The Preparation board is part of the Vehiso DMS and is included in every plan, with nothing extra to pay.
