Dealer trade exchange for buying and selling stock
Sell trade-ins and aged stock to other dealers, and buy the cars you need, without leaving the Vehiso DMS (Dealer Management System). List a car with a condition report, sell at a trade price or take offers, and the sale lands in both dealers' books.
The trade exchange is included on every paid plan. Only other Vehiso dealers can see trade listings; your retail customers never do.

The trade exchange sits in the Vehiso DMS next to your stock. Listing a car takes a minute, and so does finding one.
List straight from your stock
Put any car that is in stock on the exchange from its vehicle page. Its photos, specification and mileage come across, so there is nothing to type twice.
A proper condition report
Grade the car from 1 to 5 and rate the bodywork, interior, mechanics and tires, then add the service history, the number of keys, whether the V5C is present and any notes.
History attached
Listings show the MOT history for UK cars and any vehicle checks you have already run, so buyers see what you see.
Find the right car nearby
Filter by make, fuel type, gearbox, price, mileage, age and distance from your branch, and sort by newest, cheapest or closest.
Saved search alerts
Save a search and get an email when another dealer lists a car that matches it.
Buy now or make an offer
Sell at a fixed trade price, take offers, or both. Sellers can accept, decline or counter an offer, and every step is tracked on the listing.
A trade-only marketplace
The trade exchange is a closed market between Vehiso dealers, so you can price for the trade without it showing on your website.
- Only Vehiso dealers on a paid plan can see and buy trade stock
- A dealership needs a company number or VAT number on its account before it can trade
- Retail customers never see your trade listings or trade prices
- A car sold or reserved another way comes off the exchange on its own
Condition report
Grade 2 of 5Declared by the selling dealer, alongside the car's photos and notes.
How a trade sale works
Once a price is agreed, Vehiso takes both dealers through the rest and keeps the paperwork straight.
Agree a price
The buyer buys at the trade price, or the seller accepts their offer. Any other offers on the car are closed.
The car is held
The car is reserved in the seller's stock so it cannot be sold twice, and each dealer gets the other's contact details.
Pay and collect
The buyer pays the seller directly by bank transfer and collects the car. The seller confirms the money has arrived and the buyer confirms collection.
Both sets of books updated
The seller's car is marked sold, with an order and invoice to the buying dealer. The buyer gets the car in stock as pending, with a purchase order from the seller.
Payment goes straight between the two dealers, as with any trade sale. Until the seller confirms payment, the buyer can still call the sale off and the car goes back on the exchange.

Frequently asked questions
Who can see my trade listings?
Only other dealers using Vehiso on a paid plan who have added a company number or VAT number. Trade listings never appear on your website, your stock feeds or anywhere the public can see them.
What does a buyer see before they buy?
The car's photos, specification, mileage and age, your condition report, the MOT history for UK cars, any vehicle checks you have run and roughly how far away it is. Contact details are shared once a sale is agreed.
How does the buyer pay?
Directly to the selling dealer, usually by bank transfer, just as with any trade deal today. Vehiso does not hold the money. The seller confirms in the DMS when payment has arrived and the buyer confirms when they have collected the car.
What happens in my DMS when a car sells?
On the selling side the car is marked sold, with an order and an invoice raised to the buying dealer as a business customer. On the buying side the car is added to stock as pending at the agreed price, with a purchase order from the selling dealer, ready to prepare and price for retail.
Can I still sell the car to a retail customer?
Yes. If you sell, reserve or remove the car from stock another way, its trade listing is withdrawn automatically. You can also take it off the exchange yourself at any time before a sale is agreed.
What do I need to start trading?
A paid Vehiso plan and a company number or VAT number on your dealership or one of its branches in the DMS. Once those are in place you can list and buy straight away.
